The NSO exam is conducted annually by Science Olympiad Foundation, with the aim of challenging students problem solving ability while improving their analytical skills. NSO helps the students build a strong scientific acumen and a good base for higher classes.

Students can pass the NSO exam with flying colors by preparing holistically and practicing with the Class 1 NSO Sample Papers provided by SOF Olympiad Trainer. These Sample papers are designed same as the NSO exam which help the student to get an experience prior to the main Olympiad exam. Syllabus for NSO class 1:

Section – 1 : Spatial Understanding, Grouping, Measuring Units, Analogy, Geometrical Shapes, Patterns, Odd One Out, Ranking Test.

Section – 2 : Living and Non-living things, Plants, Animals, Human Beings and Their Needs, Good Habits and Safety Rules, Air and Water, Weather and The Sky.

Section – 3 : Higher Order Thinking Questions - Syllabus as per Section – 2.

NOTE:  Questions in NSO level-1 exam has 60% syllabus of the current class and 40% syllabus of the previous class and questions in level-2 exam come from the current class only. Similarly, the achiever’s section has questions from the current class only.
