SO X=4
Y= X-1 = 4-1=3
2X3=6. 24 IS DIVISIBLE BY 6
SO X+Y = 4+3=7
Ans 4:

The correct answer provided for given problem is 6 not 7. But how they have calculated it is not clear. If you take sum of two consecutive numbers it should be an odd number. So 6 also doent seem to be a correct answer.
