No as it causes a parallax error. It should be option A. If you don't believe me then try it yourself with a scale and measuring a line segment from different eye positions. You will see that, the measurement varies slightly every time. That's why option A is correct.

No guys. Human eye can't focus simultaneously on two points. To avoid parallax error , eye should be on the point of measurement to be taken.Hence given answer is correct in my view. You may comment.

A as image is as far behind the mirror as Object is in front of it. In this case Sachin is 3 m in front of the mirror and the object seems to be seven meters ahead. As Sachin is 3 m in front of the mirror that means object is (7-3) = 4 m behind the mirror. As image is as far behind the mirror as Object is in front of it, It means chart is 4 meters in front of the mirror. ( 4 - 3 ) = 1 m behind Sachin as Sachin is also in front of the mirror.
